Sharpness Playgroup

We are situated on the school site and have been since 1992. We are lucky to share in all their outside facilities as well as having our own outdoor space and adventure playground for added learning. Being near to school helps greatly for the transition from pre-school to school as the children become very familiar with the surroundings and teaching staff.

We pride ourselves in being a happy and friendly group and welcome anyone to call in and visit us or telephone for any enquiries they may have.

We are OFSTED-registered, and have been inspected in October 2007 and September 2008 (reports can be viewed on-line).

Children can start at the age of 2 years and 9 months and leave at school age. We are allowed a maximum of 24 children per session.

We have three NVQ3-qualified members of staff and a Parent/carer Help on a duty rota.

We are a charity and therefore run by a voluntary committee.

Opening times

09:00 - 12:00 Monday/Wednesday/Friday mornings

09:00 - 11:45 Tuesday mornings

There are extra sessions for pre-school children on Tuesdays in the Spring Term and Thursdays in the Summer Term

Cost

£6.50 per session (£6 for Tuesday morning)

Parents/carers can claim the Nursery Education Grant in the term after their child is three years old.
